Following her critic smashing performance on Dragons’ Den a few weeks ago, our Pepper (or should we say Pepper the Hen, ‘national treasure’) has gone missing.

It’s been a tough week here at The Barn and frantic searches have proved unsuccessful, a couple of sheep were questioned but they knew nothing and wouldn’t dare pull the wool over our eyes.

Rob’s been taking it tougher than most though, he’s been put right off his Crackin’ Eggs and his brain’s been scrambled by the whole ordeal!

It’s still unclear if Pepper has clucked off to make her way to Hollywood, because after a conversation with Scotland (Farm) Yard, it looks like we can’t rule out fowl play.

Yes folks, this could be a hen-napping, where’s Roost Willis when you need him? Yippee Ki-yay Mother-Clucker!

But the truth is, we know nothing at the minute and need your help! We’re launching PepperWatch across our Facebook and Twitter pages to help locate where egg-xactly she could be, using the hashtag #WheresPepper

So far our appeal has had good response, with people sending in pictures of random hen encounters on the off chance Pepper has strut her way into their path:

However some people have obviously taken our request a little tongue-in-beak and treated this like one big yolk:

If you do have any info on the whereabouts of our beloved Pepper then please come straight to us using #WheresPepper – prizes of Crackin’ Eggs will be given to those we think may have spotted her.

Hens will often sing the "Egg song" before, or after, she lays an egg. It is a cheerful song that shows pride in her efforts!
