Are you a Tap & Unwrap or Roll & Crunch kind of person?

Now that some of you have got your mitts on Crackin’ Eggs, we have a crucially important question to ask you… Do you Tap & Unwrap or do you Roll & Crunch?

When embarking on the culinary delight that is eating a Crackin’ Egg, you must approach it with all the respect that it deserves. Here we have outlined the 2 main methods of eating a boiled egg – the more classic Tap & Unwrap and the slightly renegade Roll & Crunch.

Which is the better method? We have a few thoughts on the matter…

You can’t go wrong with the Tap & Unwrap -the ‘tap tap tap’ noise you make when you hit the boiled egg is one of the most immensely satisfying sounds you can make in life. The shell often comes off with little resistance due to the force of the spoon. It’s a solid method.

However, there are some downsides that the Roll & Crunch can overcome in a way that Tap & Unwrap could never hope to. First of all, what if you don’t have access to a spoon? How, are you going to get into that delicious Crackin’ Egg!? Well, just roll your egg across a (clean!) surface and crunch your way to the egg’s sweet release. Secondly, Roll & Crunch is a bit of an unknown method, which brings you kudos amongst friends and family and random passer-bys*.
